Overview
Outdoor water is over half of a typical California household's use.
In most Southern California homes, more water goes onto the landscape than through every tap, shower and appliance combined. Lawn is the largest part of that, and in this climate a lawn is a permanently thirsty thing.
Modern synthetic turf is not the plastic carpet of twenty years ago. Current products have varied blade heights, thatch layers and matte finishes that read as real grass from a few feet away — and they need no water, no mowing and no fertiliser. Where you keep live planting, weather-based controllers and drip lines make sure it only gets what it actually needs.
What we include
Artificial Turf & Irrigation services we provide
Synthetic turf installation
Full excavation, compacted aggregate base, weed barrier, seamed and nailed turf with proper infill. Not laid over dirt.
Drainage systems
Permeable base and drain lines so the yard sheds water properly — the single most common failure in cheap turf jobs.
Smart irrigation controllers
Weather-based controllers that adjust to local evapotranspiration data instead of running on a fixed timer through a rainstorm.
Drip conversion
Converting spray zones to drip for beds and shrubs, which puts water at the root instead of into the air.
Drought-tolerant planting
California-appropriate planting design for the areas you want to keep alive, grouped by water need.
Hardscape and edging
Pavers, borders and transitions that hold the turf edge and make the whole thing look deliberate.

In detail
Getting synthetic turf right
The turf itself is the least important part of the price. What separates a lawn that looks good in year eight from one that ripples, drains badly and smells is entirely underneath it: excavation depth, base material, compaction, and drainage.
We excavate to depth, install and compact a proper aggregate base, and build in drainage before any turf is unrolled. Seams are glued and nailed, infill is brushed in to the specified weight, and edges are secured against a hard border.
For homes with pets we use products with higher permeability and an antimicrobial infill, plus a drainage plan that accounts for it.
