Remodeling thatpays you backevery month.
Southwest Development is a California remodeling contractor built around one idea: the work that makes a home look better should also make it cost less to run. Roofs, windows, HVAC, insulation and finishes — planned together, so the savings compound.
Why us
One contractor for the shell, the systems and the finishes.
Most homeowners hire a roofer, then a window company, then an HVAC contractor — and each one sizes their work as if the others do not exist. You end up paying for an oversized air conditioner to fight a roof and an attic that were never addressed.
We sequence it the other way around. Seal and insulate the envelope first, cut the solar load with cool coatings and better glazing, then size mechanical equipment to the house you actually have. The result is a smaller system, a lower bill, and a home that holds its temperature between cycles.
Design, permits, Title 24 documentation, construction and final inspection are handled by one team, on one schedule, with one point of contact.

A fixed written scope with line-item pricing, expected energy impact, and any rebates you may qualify for.
Permits & build
We pull permits, handle Title 24 paperwork, and run the trades in the order that makes the savings stack.
Sign-off
Final inspection, a walk-through with you, and documentation of everything installed behind the walls.
Built for this climate
Built in California, for California houses.
A house in Stanton spends more of the year rejecting heat than holding it. That single fact changes how a remodel should be built — where the insulation goes, which way the glazing faces, what color the roof is, and how big the condenser needs to be.
We build for that climate specifically. Cool roof coatings and radiant barriers on the sun side, low-SHGC glazing on west exposures, sealed and insulated ducts kept out of unconditioned attics wherever the framing allows.
Every project is delivered with the documentation you need for permits, rebates and resale — including model numbers, R-values and efficiency ratings for what went in.
