Overview
A roof is a climate decision, not just a rain decision.
In this climate a dark, uninsulated roof will push attic temperatures past 150°F on a July afternoon. That heat radiates down through the ceiling for hours after sunset, which is exactly when your air conditioner is least efficient and electricity costs the most.
We install roofing assemblies that reflect solar energy instead of storing it: cool-rated shingles and tiles, radiant barrier sheathing, and ventilation that actually moves air from soffit to ridge. The visible result is a new roof. The result you feel is a house that stops baking at 4pm.

Balanced intake and exhaust — soffit vents, ridge vents, and correctly sized static or powered exhaust so hot air has somewhere to go.
Flashing, valleys and penetrations
The places roofs actually fail. New flashing at every wall, chimney, skylight and vent, properly integrated with the underlayment.
Repairs and leak diagnosis
Targeted repair when a full replacement is not warranted, with an honest read on how much life the existing roof has left.

What we look at before we quote a roof
We start in the attic, not on the roof. Sheathing condition, existing insulation depth, whether ducts are running through the hottest part of the house, and whether there is any working ventilation at all. Those findings usually change the scope.
Then we look at the deck itself — sagging, delamination, old repairs, and how many layers are already up there. California allows a limited number of layers, and we will always recommend the tear-off when the substrate is questionable.
You get a written scope that names the exact product, the underlayment, the flashing details and the ventilation plan, with pricing broken out so you can see what each part costs.
